“Not Me, But You”

This has been the ultimate motive of NSS. The volunteers of NSS put in efforts everyday just to bring a positive change in the society. NSS as a team has never failed to take the stand for the needy. Whether it is matter regarding children, poor people, or it is about our mother earth our team has worked with utmost dedication for it. They don’t work for appreciation but they work for the society and for the eternal satisfaction they get by doing the same. NSS has been organising as well as participating in variety of events that help in fulfilling the motive of NSS. And this time they organised NSS showcase.

On 26th September, 2015, NSS Showcase was organised in the cultural fest Algorythm 2015 of Chitkara University. In the showcase the volunteers participated along with the children from slums who are given education in Sankalp. Showcase is reflecting a social message without dialogues and just music. A person’s body language conveys whatever he enacts. It was a tough job to organise an event like that but CU-NSS as team worked day and night with all the hard work, dedication and determination. The event was organised under the guidance of President Punit Jain and Vice-President Ritika Goyal.

The event gave a chance to strengthen the bond among the NSS volunteers. They learned teamwork and how to perform in the best way, even in odd situation. They faced difficulties but handled them with togetherness. They helped one another to prepare a great show.

NSS Showcase was about the ultimate motive of ‘Not Me, But You’. It reflected all the activities that the volunteers of NSS performed each and every day. The acts performed within showcase exhibited about the problems that the people of our society are facing whether it is poverty, lack of education facilities or child labour. It also conveyed how NSS as a team brought a great change in the lives of people. The NSS Showcase was not just liked and appreciated by the people but also it made the people aware about the commendable job the volunteers of NSS do. The audience clapped and cheered for the team.

The hard work put in by every member of NSS not just in performing for Showcase but also the volunteers who put in efforts every day to uplift the society made NSS Showcase a great success.
